Are you a Self-Employment Graduate or Be Local member? You are invited to apply to Momentum’s annual Open House Market on Wednesday, September 20th, 4-7pm. There is no cost to be a vendor!
On September 20th, Momentum will be hosting over 200 people for our Annual Open House event! The Marketplace is the main hub and major highlight of this celebration. It showcases participant-run businesses from Momentum’s self-employment programs and the Be Local network. It is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your products and services while making new connections in the community (you may also earn a few dollars!)
INFORMATION FOR VENDOR APPLICANTS
Wednesday, September 20th, 4:00pm to 7:00pm
Vendor Load-in between 12:00pm and 3:00pm
Momentum: 525 28th St SE, Calgary
There is no cost to apply
Eligibility
- You completed one of Momentum’s Self-Employment Programs or you’re a Be Local member
- You have a registered business and are actively selling your products or services
- Food vendors have Alberta food handler’s certification
What to expect at Momentum’s Grand Opening:
- Over 200 guests
- Family friendly event that brings together Momentum’s community: current and past participants, current and past staff, community partners, elected officials, donors, and neighbours!
- A market with approx. 35 vendors
- Activities throughout the building and outdoors
- Momentum will be providing $5 vouchers for guests to spend in the marketplace. At the end of the event Momentum will reimburse vendors for all vouchers used. Instructions on accepting the vouchers will be provided.
Momentum provides:
- A table (20” x 60”) and two chairs
- Access to electricity upon request
- Tablecloth (unless you prefer to use your own)
Vendors are responsible for the following
- Bringing your own marketing material (signage, etc.) and designing your table to make a great impression.
- *There is no wall space available for signage
- A Point of Sale (POS) system
- A float for cash payments (we recommend $50-100 in small bills and change)
- An extension cord (if required)
Food Vendor Information
- Food vendors: please bring your food handler’s certification.
- If you are cooking food to sell fresh, your table will be located outside under a tent for ventilation.
- You must bring your own cooking surface (grill or otherwise), utensils, dishes and cleaning products.
- If you have a table you prefer to use, please bring it with you.
- Please inform us if you do not have your own tent in advance and we will arrange a 10x10 tent for you.
