What does Alberta’s re-opening plan mean for Momentum?

As Alberta has started lifting some public health restrictions recently, you may be wondering how this will impact Momentum. While we’re excited to meet with our program participants in person, we’re taking a cautious approach for the next few weeks.

Check out the Q&A below to learn about how we’re easing into re-opening.

For programs currently being run online, will Momentum be returning to in-person programs and classes?

Momentum plans to offer both in person and online programs starting in the fall. Check with your program facilitator about in person classes.

Will Momentum be allowing walk-ins again?

Because we want to ensure we can still maintain adequate spacing in our reception area, for now please make an appointment for an in-person visit before stopping by. You can phone our reception at 403 272 9323 for help making an appointment. We’re planning to open the office for walk-ins when we resume our in-person classes in October.

When I visit, will I still need to be screened?

Yes, everyone will continue to be screened for symptoms and risk factors for COVID-19. We hope this small step can enhance the level of comfort for many.

Do I need to wear a mask?

Yes, masking for both program participants and staff is still required when circulating in public spaces at Momentum. If adequate social distancing can be maintained in our classrooms, participants will be offered the choice to remove their masks when seated.

We’re excited to see you soon! Until then stay safe, get vaccinated and we’ll keep you updated as things change.
