StartWork Trades Training | Glazing

In this free training program, you will have the opportunity to upgrade your skills, get access to real on-site experience, and receive hands-on training with our industry partners.

StartWork provides employment training and work experience for participants currently receiving Alberta Income Support. Through StartWork training you will begin building a career and sustainable livelihood in Calgary and area.

What you will learn

Receive technical training with our industry partners

Gain valuable on-the-job training with a work experience employer

Develop skills and attitudes to help you succeed in finding a good job and starting your career

Become certified in CSTS and WHMIS

Is this program right for you?

Do you qualify?

  • Currently receiving Alberta Income Support

  • Are ready, willing and physically able to work

  • Have a Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 or above

  • You live in Calgary and area (or if you are Indigenous, Inuit or Metis living in surrounding Treaty 7 territory)
