Entering Entrepreneurship An introduction to small business building.

If you’re curious about entrepreneurship but don’t know where to start, join us for this 2-hour introductory and interactive workshop that explores what it means to be an entrepreneur.

Are you interested in exploring entrepreneurship as a way to earn a side-income?

Or perhaps you are unemployed and receiving Employment Insurance benefits, and feel now is the right time pursue self-employment?

Whether you are imagining a business to supplement your income, or are hoping to become a full-time business owner, this workshop will help you decide whether entrepreneurship is right for you.

You will learn:

How to recognize your own strengths
Recognizing the importance of your mindset
What next steps to take if you are interested in pursuing entrepreneurship

The workshop is free and open to all. We encourage participants to use either a computer or laptop for this program, as cellphones and tablets can prevent full participation.

Do you qualify?

You have a business idea (or two) that you would like to explore
You live in Calgary and area (or if you are Indigenous, Inuit or Metis living in surrounding Treaty 7 territory)
You are over 18 years of age
Momentum strongly encourages participants to use either a computer or laptop for this program as cellphones & tablets can prevent full participation
