Managing Your Small Business to Increase Profits – Meetup on Wednesday

Join us on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 for our next Meetup with Dave Heinze, principal of Heinze Group.  Don’t forget to register via Meetup. During the workshop we will discuss ways to manage your business to increase profits.  Applying what is discussed here could be the difference between: • Failure & Survival • Survival & Success • Mediocre Success & The Success You Want “First and foremost it is important to consider what you are.  People in their own business think of themselves as a variety of things.  Often they identify themselves as electricians, builders, accountants, engineers storekeepers or whatever it is that their business does.  While this can be fine, it is very important that you always think of yourself as a businessperson.  These other things are nice, they describe the business, but first, last and always, you are in business.  These other things just happen to be the business that you are in.  After all, providing a good or service is part of running a good business, not the other way around. As an entrepreneur, it is critical that you always remember why you are in business.  It is not to provide a great product or service, nor is it to create jobs or even to be a good corporate citizen.  You are in business to make money.  It is really as simple as that.  Yes, there are other ulterior motivations and doing all those other things is part of running a successful business and how we go about making a profit.  However, at the end of the day if you are not making money, you might as well go home and take the day off.” Seminar Leader:  Dave Heinze B.
