The sunny days are upon us and it’s the perfect time to get outdoors and have some fun. If you’re looking to stick around for a staycation here are some outdoors activities to consider:
- Events in Parks – The city of Calgary hosts events year round at different parks and pathways, check out their:
- Shakespeare by the Bow which is put on by Theatre Calgary during the last week of June to mid-August. This gives you a chance to see some of Alberta’s emerging theatre artists and is a way to show your support for their craft. It’s free to attend but donations are more than welcome.
- Inglewood Night Market – takes place every 2nd week of each month from June to September. It’s great to check out all that the nifty craft artisans are selling and you can listen to live music too! Each month usually has some sort of theme. For example, in the month of July, since it’s around Stampede time, the live music would be Country themed.
- Inglewood Bird Sanctuary – Is an interesting place to visit, you can walk on their paths and observe many different types of birds that live there. It’s also a good place to try and practice your photography skills too.
