Friends & Partners

Roy Bear Chief, a Blackfoot Elder and friend of Momentum, helped us find a term to describe the partnership work we were doing with Indigenous communities: Nitaakkaiks (nee tuck ai eh ks). In Blackfoot, this means simply: “our friends”. Roy told us: “Partnerships are more formal, friendship is more natural.” These are some of the organizations we call friends.
