Design Your Business
Do you need help with your small business? Design Your Business assists entrepreneurs in building a business that creates value for the entrepreneur, society, and the environment, both now and into the future.
As a participant in Design Your Business, you will receive guidance through planning and modeling your business using a series of design tools, self-reflection exercises, and practical hands on experiences. You’ll also receive one-on-one coaching to determine which areas of your small business you need to focus on most.
You will be matched with a small business coach, and meet with them bi-weekly for a minimum of 12 weeks, with the opportunity to continue meeting with them for up to 24 weeks. This will give you plenty of time to get acquainted with the coach and the program. The coach will work with you to identify where your small business needs help most, and give you assigned work to complete between sessions.
Through these assignments, you will explore your mindset and consider how it supports or hinders your entrepreneurial journey. You will also reflect on your journey as an entrepreneur and create a story of self. Though this work, you will start to develop a vision for the future created by your small business and dive deep to build a strong understanding of who your stakeholders are, which will aid in guiding your business decisions.
Finally you will design a business model that creates value for you, your business, and your customers. This will aid you in identifying the impact of your business and mapping out your next steps.
The best fit for this program are participants who are entrepreneurs or teams of entrepreneurs who want to design a business that will be ready to meet the future. This business may be a new idea that is ready to be tested, or a business that is already making sales. Participants are self-directed, with an openness to exploring themselves and their business, and a willingness to learn through doing.
Participants may be eligible for a micro business loan through Momentum.
Applications are open and we will review incoming applications for upcoming start dates.
