Momentum Chosen as One of the Top 10 Charities in Canada!
Momentum has been selected by the Tides Canada Foundation as one of the Top 10 Charities in Canada for 2007!
The reasons we were chosen:
- Our award-winning Community Economic Development (CED) programs which include business development programs that annually reach over 300 people and support 50 small business start-ups.
- Lending over 300 Micro Business Loans with over $900,000 invested and a repayment rate of 90%.
- Matching the savings of over 800 individuals and families with more than $1 million under our matched savings program. Over 30 people have been able to purchase homes with the matched savings.
- Training over 500 immigrations and Aboriginal people for careers in trades, many of them tripling their earnings in less than five years.
