Business Basics 30
Business Basics 30 is meant for people living on a low or fixed income (such as AISH) who would like to start a small, home-based business to supplement their income. You will discuss business plan topics in a group setting and write your own business plan. Through this 30 hour program you will build the essential skills you need to develop your business idea – and put it into action!
This is an afternoon program that takes place 2 times per week over 6 weeks (a total of 12 classes). A group will have a maximum of 12 participants.

February 19, 2019 – March 28, 2019
October 15, 2019 – November 21, 2019
1:30pm – 4:00pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays during the program dates
It is expected that participants have 100% attendance with absences allowable only under special circumstances. There may be a need for participants to work on their business plans outside of class time. Participants can reasonably expect the program commitment to be 10-20 hours per week.
There is no coaching provided in the Business Basics 30 program.
Momentum Fundability MicroLoans of up to $1,500 are available for participants who have successfully completed Business Basics 30. Participants need to have a completed business plan, up to date financials, and acceptable credit history. Credit history does not have to be perfect. We are only able to provide loans to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents. Momentum’s MicroLoans are available at a 5% interest rate with 2-4 year terms of repayment. Completion of the program does not guarantee a participant’s loan application will be approved.

- You have a language or cultural barrier
