Calling all Momentum participants and partners to #KeepCalgaryStrong

Downtown Calgary

Keep Calgary Strong is a growing coalition of organizations and individuals that support the principle set out by City Council: Upcoming cuts in the operating budget should do the least harm to Calgary’s most vulnerable or low-income.

Keep Calgary Strong is asking Council to:

  • Maintain Transit service and fare rates
  • Preserve programs for the vulnerable & low income
  • Keep the Mental Health & Addictions Strategy
We ask that you show your support and encouragement to the City of Calgary to keep this principle top of mind as they work to find the required $60M in budget cuts. The Calgary Transit Low-Income Transit Pass is specifically as risk. There are many ways that you can show your support:

  1. Participate in social media engagement. Post, re-post, tweet, re-tweet using the hashtags #keepcalgarystrong #yyccc
  2. Go online and sign the letter to council
  3. Save the date and be present at the July 22 council meeting at 9:30am to show your support. See also: Facebook Event Link.
