Community Leadership

Through collaboration, Momentum aims to create a more supportive environment for poverty reduction. Sometimes, we work quietly to test and refine an idea. Other times, we take the lead.

Here are our top 2 Collaborative activities:

  1. Community Economic Development: Momentum operates Thrive, Calgary’s Community Economic Development Network. An economic approach is at the core of CED, so Thrive provides a way for businesses, non-profits, governments and individuals to support local economic opportunities in Calgary.

  2. Poverty Reduction Sometimes we can work within the system, and sometimes the system needs to be worked on. We support Vibrant Communities Calgary, an organization committed to addressing the root causes of poverty in our community.
